The judicial system, as one of the fundamental pillars of any society, has always faced challenges such as delayed proceedings, lack of transparency, high costs, and the possibility of tampering with documents. These challenges have undermined public trust in the judiciary and presented serious obstacles to the realization of justice. In the meantime, the emergence of emerging technologies, especially blockchain technology, has opened new horizons for the transformation and optimization of legal and judicial processes. Blockchain, with its unique features such as decentralization, immutability, transparency, and security, has the potential to address many of the shortcomings in civil procedural law as a reliable infrastructure. This article, with a scientific-promotional approach, examines and analyzes the role and functions of blockchain technology in two key areas of "transparency" and "acceleration" of civil procedural law processes. In this regard, first the theoretical foundations of blockchain technology and smart contracts are explained and then the current challenges of the Iranian civil justice system are examined. Next, the practical applications of blockchain in various stages of the proceedings, from filing a petition and serving judicial documents to managing evidence and enforcing judgments, are explained. Finally, the challenges and legal, technical and executive considerations of implementing this technology in the country's judicial system are discussed and suggestions for the future are presented.
