With the rapid expansion of digital technologies and social networks, content creation in cyberspace has become a crucial component of social and economic interactions while simultaneously generating significant legal implications for content creators. The main research question of this study is: what are the legal dimensions and civil and criminal liabilities arising from content creation in cyberspace, and how can legal frameworks balance freedom of expression with legal accountability? The necessity of this research lies in the rapid growth of content production, where many individuals and organizations are unaware of legal consequences, and this lack of awareness can lead to legal disputes and social harm. The aim of this article is to examine the legal aspects of content creation in cyberspace and identify the associated civil and criminal liabilities. The research method is descriptive–analytical, based on documentary studies and a review of relevant legal texts and judicial cases regarding content responsibility in cyberspace. The results indicate that content creators, both individuals and platforms, bear responsibilities under civil and criminal law, including preventing the dissemination of illegal, offensive, or rights-violating content and fulfilling obligations related to online publication. Furthermore, the study shows that raising awareness and establishing clear legal guidelines can enhance content creators’ accountability while preserving freedom of expression. The innovation of this research lies in its simultaneous focus on both civil and criminal dimensions of content liability in cyberspace and providing a comprehensive analytical review of relevant legal and judicial documents.
